Lilly Singh is an Emmy-winning entertainer, actress, producer, New York Times best-selling author, gender equality advocate, and President of Unicorn Island. A leading force in pop culture, she has pivoted her successful online career to the big and small screens. 

Up next, Lilly’s first feature film will premiere at the 2024 SXSW Film & TV Festival in the “Narrative Spotlight” section this March. The raunchy, subversive comedy is about a 30-year-old Indian-American virgin who gets a job teaching high school Sex Ed. Lilly co-wrote, produced, and stars as the lead in the film.

Through her Unicorn Island Productions company, it’s non-profit arm Unicorn Island Fund, and her Lilly’s Library book club, Lilly continues to blaze new paths in storytelling, spotlighting underrepresented voices and challenging social norms to transform the way the world sees, values and invests in girls and women. 

As an author, Lilly has published two books, including the #1 New York Times bestseller “How To Be A Bawse: A Guide to Surviving Conquering Life” and “Be a Triangle: How I Went from Being Lost to Getting My Life Into Shape,” which debuted in April 2022 as an instant best-seller in Canada and India.  

In television, Lilly broke barriers as the only woman of color to host a late-night show on a major network in nearly thirty years with “A Little Late with Lilly Singh.”  She can be seen as a judge on Canada’s Got Talent, host of CTV's primetime quiz show Battle of the Generations and the lead in the Disney+ comedy series, The Muppets Mayhem – which won the Emmy Award for “Outstanding Children’s Or Family Viewing Series” in 2023. Her credits also include voice over roles in the popular animated features “Ice Age: Collision Course,” “The Bad Guys,” and “Riverdance: The Animated Adventure,” among others. Additionally, Lilly voices the lead in her animated series, The Mindful Adventures of Unicorn Island, now available on YouTube – which she also executive produced through Unicorn Island in partnership with Headspace Studios.

Lilly is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, a recipient of the 2023 DVF Leadership Award, and has been recognized as one of Forbes’ “30 Under 30: Hollywood & Entertainment,” TIME’s “30 Most Influential People on the Internet” and as one of Fast Company’s “Most Creative People.” Her TED Talk, “A seat at the table isn’t the solution for gender equity,” has received millions of views and was one of the five most popular TED Talks of 2022.
